If I want to make a transaction that update for example the following fields of the product - location (transaction SAPAPO/MAT1)
Do I have to use the BAPI_PRDSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 or the ABAP programm can update directly these fields?
1) Product Heuristic
3) Safety stock

Hi,
First please check whether you have stock in t-code /sapapo/rrp3, notice you check the correct location/product/planning version. You can also check the stock on hand in product master (/sapapo/mat1) on "lot size" tab.
In SNP planning book the key figure is updated by macro. So please first check whether the key figure is correct in standard SNP planning book 9ASNP94/SNP94(1). The key figure is filled by macro "stock balance" in standard SNP planning book.
Then you should check the macro in your own planning book.

When making any changes to the PDS in ERP (say BOM) that is using ECN, then this is creating a new PDS in APO which means the PDS in APO is doubled.
Can any one suggest about changing PDS with ECN, is this by standard?

Can you please check if T-code MASSD will help you.
Here you can select the object as Product to selection Location product attributes.
You can perform changes in the MASS and update the above fields.

You can use the BAPI BAPI_PRDSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2 to create or change a location product.
MASSD and LSMW can also useful.

If do the any changes in BOM with respective to change number it will transfer the changes to same PDS with different validity.

I know the MASSD but I don't want that users work with this transaction because they can change others fields with this transaction, this is the reason why I want to have a ABAP programm and users can change only these fields
But I don't know if the abap programm can update these fields directly or I have to use the BAPI_PRDSRVAPS_SAVEMULTI2??

you can go for enhancement with fuctional Exists EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 .The following exit is called during initial / change transfer via CFM2. All the fields are updated in the product-location master in APO. Go through that once it make your work easy

I think you should you decide which fields would you like to consider for updates.
You can create small program using similar program/FM used in MASSD.
For example, in our case we would like update the deletion flag in MASS for material location, so we have created small program with selection screen but internally called MASSD logic to update the data. It´s kind of small raper program with selections screen.

A standard SNP mantains planning with only 3 types of requirement: customer demand, corrected demand forecast and demand forecast. I can define 3 key figures to say to SNP optimizer “who is who” using standard KF functions 1001, 1002 and 1003.
But I need to define for one product-location 6 different types of forecasts with different ND costs.

What is the range of historical horizon maintained in the Forecast profile. Please check if historical key figure and time period matches in planning book and profile.

Hi,
You do not need to create new key figure function.
You can create new order categories for your different types of requirement, and create new key figures to display them. (Which order categories to display in a key figure is controlled by the "category group" setting.)
What optimizer recognize are some key figures like "stock on hand", "supply shortage" or "safety stock" and "reorder point" which are all with standard key figure function.
What you need to do is to add your key figures in the macro that calculate the stock relevant key figures. (Standard macro is "stock balance").

2) Is the key figure to which you input historical data is the historical key figure you specified in forecast profile?
3) Did you select "read correct history data from planning version" in your forecast profile?
4) Did you set "corrected history" key figure in planning area settings?

I intend to use target stock level method for the CTM planning. I maintain the target days supply at product master level, there nothing plan for those many days of supply. Can some one advise how can I plan with this method.

We are using copy of SAP_PP_002 and the only difference between the standard and our Z is the resuse mode we have used.We are using "Delete Unfixed receipts" in the reuse mode.So it will delete all the unfirmed planned orders and recreate new orders.
