Hi everyone, client has over millions of product-location combination that has a blank value under replenishment indicator in APO, the question is if the program runs for Stocking.Destorcking will it consider the blank value in Rep-Ind? we need the program to pick the blank value on all the materials and replace is to NS(non-stocked)- basically the requirement is to update all thosee materials that have a blank Rep_Ind to "NS". please advice......

Hi Joe,
I know that if in the ERP I have one routing with four alternative sequences in APO I will have one PDS with four modes, and the optimezer will be able to change planned orders beetwen these four modes.
My question was If I have several PDS with one mode each PDS, and the production orders saturate the capacity of a resource (PDS)
When I execute the optimizer and it detects that a resource (PDS) is saturated the optimizer sends some production orders to another resource (PDS) to remove the overhead?
If the PPDS Optimizer does not send some production orders to other resource (PDS) what I have to do for it sends some production orders to other resource (PDS)?

1.Yes, you can change the settings by using Change Key figure Setting Option.
2. As suggested by Abhishek, better to perform activities separately without moving transport.
3. Make sure that, Users are locked before perfoming this actvity and no any jobs related to this Planning area is scheduled.

APO local orders are generated for Subcon purchase requisitions
Dear Experts,
Good day.
This is to seek for your assistance regarding Subcon purchase requisitions created manually and via snp heuristics in APO.
We are using PPM to explode demand for our semi-finished goods (SFGs). We don't have a problem in exploding the demand from finished goods (FGs) to SFGs at plant. The SFGs are produced at subcontracting location. So in our setup, we have this kind of flow or master data in APO.
T-Lane Plant --> DC for FGs (created manually in APO)
SNP and PPDS PPM @ Plant to explode SFGs from FGs (PPDS PPM is created from ECC via CIF whilst SNP PPM is created in APO manually based on PPDS PPM)
T-Lane Subcon to Plant for SFGs (created thru Purchase Info record and Contracts from ECC via CIF) - note here that both pir and contracts are in valid end date i.e. 12/31/2016
Whenever we run location heuristics at SFGs-plant, we always got Subcon purchase requisitions but only as APO local orders (8*). Meaning, they didn't convert to appropriate Subcon purchase requisitions (3*) number ranges. Hence, the APO local orders are not getting CIFed to ECC when viewing Stock/Req List. Likewise, if we run reconciliation in APO and push the orders to ECC, CFG1 shows the following error messages:
"Fill in all required fields"
"Error during creation; GUID: Le5* ; Item 00*"
"Error during creation; GUID: Le5* ; Item"
These are only happening for selective SFGs and not for all. Please let me know what to further check on the master data or configurations maybe. Appreciate your soonest feedback.

Hi Neehal,
The model is the basis for all planning functions in SAP APO -it contains all master data i.e. locations, transportation lanes, products, resources, and production process models.
Master data from ECC system is automatically assigned to the active model (model 000) during the transfer to APO. The active model represents the supply chain actually used in the company. In this way, all the transferred master data is automatically available for operational planning in model 000. You must assign master data that you create manually in SAP APO to a model.

Hi Neehal,
I suggest you to consult your BW colleague with this requirement. He will be able to help you in getting the data upto Infocube in APO. Also search for existing SCN thread on similar topics, you will get much more information.
Data from that infocube can be loaded into APO Planning Area by using /SAPAPO/TSCUBE.

Hi Neehal,
You do not copy data from flatfile into keyfigure directly in APO. You develop the necessary dataload process to get this data loaded into APO. For Example it can be done using BW route. If required, please consult your BW colleague.

5. Creating DTP to load data into Infocube
6. Creating variant for /SAPAPO/TSCUBE load data into APO Planning Area.

Hi Neehal,
For forecasting models, you need to first create the master forecast profile for your planning area, assign the history and forecast key figures, time horizon and also initialize the corresponding Forecasting methods i.e. Univariate/MLR and then you will be able to carry out forecasting in planning book.

changing MPOS for copied planning area

i have copied a planning area A to B, now all the data what i have in planning area A is in planning area B.
Now, for planning area B, i want to change MPOS name.
is it possible to change the MPOS name here for planning area B ? Please help me with relavant soultion.

Hi Neehal,
You assign a planning area to a MPOS, which in turn is assigned characteristics and aggregates. Since your planning area is based on an existing MPOS, you won't be able to change the MPOS name in planning area created.
If you want your planning area to be based on new MPOS, the you have to deinitialize the planning area, delete the time series data and then have it based on new MPOS.
