Process DP Background Processing, variant RROS XXXX has status Undefined (instance )

Hello Experts,

 

While running the background job in process chain, I got an error "Process DP Background Processing, variant XXXXX has status Undefined (instance )".

 

Message Class - RSPC, Message Number 9.

 

I found few posts from SDN saying that, issue is related to authorization but I checked with our security team and there is no issue with Authorization.

 

I have added New Job in the process chain and there is no CVC against the selection maintained in the background job.

 

Another old background job in the process chain is also having no CVC assigned but it completed successfully.Both Old and New jobs are showing same info in the spool (SM37)

 

Request you to please provide the necessary info if you already faced such problems in the past.

How to Change Planned Order Start Date & Time

Hi APO PPDS Experts, After PPDS Planning Run /SAPAPO/CDPBS0 Planned Order gets created on current date as Start Date (As per desired date). Please let me know how we can change Planned Order start date "Manually" instant of using DS Planning Board /SAPAPO/CDPS0. Please advice to develop logic to edit Start Date & time using manual entry or is there any BAPi or table. Thanks in advance...

Hi Sachin,

 

Can you please provide the screenshot of the error - Also please check the Aggregation level of the job in the variant. Sometimes not all characteristic in the Aggregation level is selected which gives the error.

Hi Mayur,

 

You can try changing the planned order manually by going to say Product View (/SAPAPO/RRP3) for given product/location and try changing the date in "Edit" Mode.

 

Please note once you change the date manually - planned order will get Output Firmed/PP Firmed indicator too.

Product heuristics planning dates

Dear All,

 

I'm planning a subcontracted product interactively with product heuristics from RRP3.

The planned delivery time in product master is 90 days & tranportattion time in lane is alos 90 days.

But for rquirement of 01/01/2016 (mm/dd/yyyy), system is generating PurRqs today itself.

 

Below are the screen shots.

When i change requirement date to 1st april 2016, then it is considering the 90 days lead time. See below start & end date.

I was expecting that the system will take account the lead time even when the requirement is today & subsequently the product will be available after 90 days from today.

 

I'm not sure any planning horizons (Stk trsfr, PP/DS Horizon, SNP Product Horizon) is having any impact.

 

Need help/guidance/suggestion in understanding this behaviour.

Hi Mayur,

 

RRP3 and RRP4 are just receipt views where you can only change the Availability Date. I understand that DS board might be an overkill to change start dates but you can also try the Resource Planning Table /SAPAPO/RPT where you can use Forward Scheduling and the Start Date / Start Time are open to edit. If these manual changes are not too frequent, you can always delete the unwanted Planned orders in RRP3 / RRP4 and create a new ones with a strategy set to Forward Infinite Scheduling.

dear  experts,

 

I have in ECC work centre set up which is up and running

 

1.assigned to Master recippe with its operations and sub operations,phases

 

2. product assigned to work center

 

I am calling this as ECC set up ;

 

if I CIF this ECC  set up (work centre, master recippe,product )via PDS

 

1. Will it get auto populated in RES01  or should I manually create in APO so  as to reflect the ECC set up.

 

The reason I am asking is there exists a  ECC set up relevant to resources well in  place  that follows a certain (resource) hierarchy ,the same resource hierarchy has to be copied in APO, without distortion

 

So how do i start  with , your input will help me better to explain to client- even before providing  APO credentials ,client wants to be clear , what i am going to do and how ?

Hi Alok,

 

I am not able to see any lock entries in SM12, as stated above the lock entries are displayed only via /SAPAPO/TS_LC_DISPLAY_LOCKS report.


Can you please tell me how can we delete the lock entries from the /SAPAPO/TS_LC_DISPLAY_LOCKS report.

Hi

 

The PDS will be transferred to APO from ECC only in active version. You need to do a version copy from active version to the inactive version. (/SAPAPO/MVM)

Thanks AK, Your solution helps me, Planned Order is coming in editable mode in transaction /SAPAPO/RPT Here I'm also looking for any BAPi/ BDC/ FM by which we will change the Start date & time. Please share me some more details, Thanks - Mak

Rahul,

Products are not assigned to Work Centers.  Or Resources.

 

Work Center Hierarchies are not transferred with standard CIF.  You create Resource hierarchies in APO.  See the appropriate help.sap.com doc under 'Creating a resource hierarchy'.

 

I suggest you tell the client you will transfer everything via standard core interface.  Then, if necessary, you will make the appropriate changes in APO, either via CIF enhancement, or by direct editing.

 

You won't know what the details are until you actually have his system to work on.

Hi Rahul

 

Workcenter should be created in ECC and it should be cif to APO through I_model . You need to assign master receipe and routing to product not workcenter

 

What ever the fields present in your  workcenter capacity header data these will be transferred to APO.

Mayur,

 

In the RPT screen, goto Settings -> Strategy, choose the strategy profile "SAP001" which has planning direction forwards with find slot scheduling or infinite scheduling. This makes the Start Date / Start Time open to edit in the RPT screen. You would however need to play around with the strategy profile to find the right one for your setup.

Or you can send the PDS to the inactive version using ECC Tcode:  CURTO_CREATE.

You enter the planning version you want to have PDS created for.

Order Coloring on DS Planning Board

Hi Experts,

 

Business: Manufacturing.

Scope: Juice Manufacturing.

Volume: 18 Flavors

SKU's: 62 individual SKU's based on packing/Overall about 18 Juice Groups.

 

My client manufactures about 62 SKU's over 48 hours of execution/production time. Every Flavor forms a part of individual Juice Group which is defined in the system. On an average the volumes per SKU is about 40,000 - 50,000 Liters, which translates into an average run time of about 3 - 4 hours per SKU. We have 3 alternate resources for every SKU on an average in off peak season.

I have used PURPLE color for one of our in house produced SKU, by using the Resource chart configurations. However this does not reflect on order coloring on the Resource Chart, in-turn reflects the changes to the Product Chart. This is something which is not suitable, since the planner usually uses the Resource Chart to perform interactive scheduling of order's on various resources.

 

Hence dear experts kindly suggest if there is anything which i might be missing while configuring or is there any other method to perform the required changes.

Exactly Tom and Kenneth. That's what I meant. Some materials/material ranges can be received in the weekend and some cannot.


So if I understand it right.... There's no basic option to model this situation.....
