Re: CTM is generating dependent demand on Phantom Assembly instead of components of Phantom Assembly

Hi All,

I am not sure if you talking about following scenariosCTM had issue with Phantoms. We did characteristic based planning and use planning KMAT. Here are the issue we faced--

Case#1- Multiple Direct Components--Component A and component B are each present twice, with different dependency conditions. After the CTM run, all components are to be seen in the planned orders, even if not matching the selection conditions.

Case#2- Multiple Direct Components and Phantom Components- component A is a direct component of the PDS as well as a component of Phantom 2. Component D is a direct component of the PDS as well as a component of Phantom 1.Component A and D are thus each present twice, with different dependency conditions. After the CTM run, all components are to be seen in the planned orders, even if not matching the selection conditions.

Case#3- Multiple Components within Distinct Phantoms --component B is a component of Phantom 1 as well as of Phantom 2. Different dependency conditions exist for the two phantoms and, as a consequence, also for the two components B. After the CTM run, both components B are to be seen in the planned orders, even if not matching the selection conditions.

Case#4-  Multiple Phantoms-- Phantom 1 is present twice, its components - component B and C -are therefore also present twice. Different dependency conditions exist for the two occurrences of the phantom. After the CTM run, both components B and both components C are to be seen in the planned orders, even if not matching the selection conditions.Case2.PNGCase4.PNG

Hi Experts,

Any update on this issue.

We are using CTM Planning.

Hi

They do not want to see the information in the planning book.  They want to see it in a report.  This is for the supply chain team.

I will close the thread.  Thanks for the feedback.

Hi Ujjal

You can think about creating handling resource and assign into PPM or PDS for specific products.

The only issue could be you, require to create multiple resources so it´s huge master data maintenance.

I hope this information will help you with something.

Thanks

Hi Neha

I would suggest, you should execute the Forecasting for respective article through interactive planning book using specific forecasting model. You can find the detail logs after executing the forecasting. These logs might give you some hints about the topic.

Thanks

hi Amol,

I have already tried this.

by executing the same material in interative palnnong book I am getting the correct result but not same when it takes through process chain is releasing forecast on monthly basis.

Hi DB,

Thanks a lot for the link.

I have gone through many  documents on GATP like Satish Waghmare and couple of more but did not get the clear picture on a delivery  date like we have in SD.Hence asked the question.

Resource Hierarchy (sapapo/relhshow)

Gurus:

I'm trying to setup a hierarchy on my resources in /sapapo/relhshow.  I'm looking to have 4 levels (I have setup the config to allow 10 levels for future expansion).  My first level is plant level.  My 2nd level is Group1.  My 3rd level is SubGroup1.  My 4th level is at the actual real Resource.

When I add orders in APO SNP and then go to look at the capacity on the Resources, I get a capacity requirement on my 4th Level (actual Resource) and on the 3rd Level (SubGroup1), but I do not get capacity requirements on my 2nd or 1st Levels up.

I attached a screenprint.  Does anyone have any ideas?  I asked 2 external consultants and they think my setup is correct, so they cannot explain why I wouldn't see capacity requirements on Level 1 and 2 (the 2 highest grouped up levels).

Best Regards,

Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Have you defined in customizing the hierarchy has four levels, as in standard it only one level.

Hi Neha

That could only explain that in the background job it´s using different FCST profile.

Can you check FCST profile assigned to specific selection where the article belong in  /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2 - Assign Forecast Profiles to a Selection. It could be you are having any mismatch here.

This could result into incorrect results for you.

Please also check the flag "Always use job profile" in the background job. If this flag is ticketed then only job will use the above FCST profile otherwise it will pick form /SAPAPO/MSDP_FCST2

If this information helps please close the thread following steps How to close a discussion and why

Hi Anil:

Yes, I have actually created 10 Levels.  The lowest 2 levels are working, but no higher levels are showing capacity requirements.

Material xxxx not maintained in plant 0001

I get this error in the /sapapo/cq. There is a queue which gets blocked almost very frequently. Material not maintained in plant 0001. Actually plant 0001 is not defined for the particular material. The master data also didn't seem to have any inconsistency. In the particular plant 0001, there are no materials maintained. Kindly help me with the issue.

Hi Sandeep

Try to see if you can remove respective plant i.e.0001 from the integration model and then again re-trigger the models. You can first delete all the Ques and make sure everything is cleaned.

Thanks

Amol

Hi Amol,

Thanks for the advice. I have been deleting the queues whenever this issue comes, but i wanted to know the root cause of the issue.

Hi Sandeep

I think we require to understand the selections picked in the integration model to find more details.

We require to see if we have any dependencies. Might be because of any dependcies you are getting the respective CIF error. It could be due to some master data it is trying to build the relation with Plant 001. You can check BOMs or Purchase info records or source list of this article in ECC.

Thanks

Amol

Hello,

Deactivate and reactivate the Integration Model for Material Master Data which contains the affected Material;

Execute report RIMODINI (initial load) for the Integration Model for Material Master Data which contains the affected Material;

Run report RAPOKZFX Correct Inconsistencies if any.

Re: Synchronization of Planning Calendar

Hi Jajah

No you don´t have do anything on APO side.

You have just or only extended your planning calendar which is mainly getting used in ECC system.

In APO, we transfer only factory calendar from ECC. So in case you have done any changes with only planning calendar you don´t require to do anything.

Kindly request you to please close the thread following How to close a discussion and why steps.

Thanks

Amol

Sandeep,

You should never delete a blocked queue without first knowing why the blocked queue exists.

Next time you see the error, open the queue and review the contents.  From the name of the queue, it appears that this queue is related to purchasing data.  I suspect you have some purchasing master data that is calling for this material as a source of supply in 0001 plant.  Check your Purchase Info Records, Scheduling Agreements, Contracts.  These IMs typically are created with the Destination plant in mind, and the source plant is inferred.  You may have to do a little digging in ECC to find the guilty record.

DB49.

Hi Sandeep,

Please check the generated integration model (click on details). Normally you will see the material for plant 0001 in the model. Follow the steps described by expert Dogboy.

If you can't find any issue you can exclude the material from the initial selection. However this solution it's not the correct one but can help you till you will be able to find the issue.

Thanks,

Regards, Marius
